My new webtoy! That's right, something to play with. I bring you...



That's right! Now you too can make your own custom scenes! I'm constantly adding new features and sprites.


But wait! There's MORE! Not only is there a horizontal version... but there's a vertical version too!



Currently, the horizontal version is in a "feature freeze" - I think I've taken it about as far as I can.

The vertical version, on the other hand, is still being worked on. It definitely needs more sprites, and I'm in the middle of writing a danmaku pattern selector.

NFG and I have been doing a "code share" on his font tool, as I wanted speech bubbles, and it was easier to add it to that, than write an extra step to do it. Who knows what else we'll come up with?

Finally, I'm doing "YARS"(Yet Another Review Site) on the main page - but only old shmups for now. I welcome criticism, as I truly need to get my eloquence on at times. :D

Putting in the Ballet Panda was a nice touch, I must say.


Corrections: the Darius, R-Type and Zero Wing ships are called the Silver Hawk, R-9 and Zig, respectively.

Also, instead of Gradius Core and Giant Fossil, "Big Core Mk. I" and "King Fossil".


Some Vertical requests:

* An Akkanvader/Lunar Loonies background.
* Anything from Twinkle Star Sprites.

Yea, I'm well aware of the names, but changing them now will break images is they're removed from the cache, and I don't really want to put special-case clauses in the code. The names are all derived from the filenames, you see..

hmm. Now that I think about it, I might have a way of changing them without breaking things....

As for the additions, I'll see what I can do!

edit: with a little DB hackery on the old data (decoding it, editing the parameters, recoding it), it's been changed. If you find names of other ships that aren't quite so obvious, let me know. Like the Sidearms boss.
