Cat’s do rule in that way. They know what they like. I appreciate their ability to hang out independently, clean themselves and use the bathroom at the same spot all the time (I’d hope.)
I think its fun to compare the personalities of my 6 year old fluffy cat, Huey to my little goofball 9 month pup Jerome. The dog is the ultimate goober attention hog who still bumps his head clumsily into everything, and the cat is a physical specimen, the ultimate acrobat who politely meows to greet you as she slinks by to prowl or whatever business she has in whatever room she wants to stroll into.
Huey doesn’t like Jerome and she avoids him at all costs. Jerome always wants to play with Huey and tries to chase her. Usually I yell “Jerome! Huey doesn’t wanna play because she doesn’t like you!”
She just doesn’t trust the pointy dog and I totally get it, but he does not.
