穴 So maybe instead of disabling the ability to change your username just to stop a potential malicious person we could just lower the username character limit from 150 to 25 or something reasonable like that.
Thirding that I think this is a totally sensible option, and also I’ll wholeheartedly back up the user currently known as 穴 about preserving the option for user’s to freely change usernames. If it is determined that username approval should be turned on to prevent some kind of more malicious/external abuse of that feature, I think it would still be best to take that step in response to that happening, rather than as a preventative for a griefing/spamming tactic that might never happen. I think the aforementioned user has definitely made the case that we should not give up the ease with which one can change your username lightly.
However if you can disable it for users individually, we should disable it for @yeso exclusively since he was the one who did the whole annoyingly long name thing first a few months back
