I understand @exodus’s pronunciation given he lives in greater Oc[arina]land.
The game credits chat is always totally alien to me as someone who is not in the games/entertainment industry. I know it’s different for those who are because it keeps getting brought up on this and other sites that being in the credits is pretty important for one’s career growth.
I’ve been in the tech industry my whole career and as a full time employee of any company I’ve worked for, all the intellectual property I create is owned by that company. And at zero point in time has anyone ever considered “hey, here’s the list of people who contributed to this program or product and we’re publicizing it externally”. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, it’s just such non-expectation for me. It’s assumed that The Company isn’t going to put my name anywhere on it. I do refer to products that I’ve contributed to on my resume and in interviews, so I don’t even know what I would do if someone asked me to “prove it” beyond referring them to my references.
