By the way, I watched Green Frontier, which @exodus mentioned here first and also recommended on the podcast.
I echo all of the positive points, very definitely the way the central characters are richly and compellingly written women. I’ll also personally emphasize the intimate and, if you’ll pardon the pun, organic way that indigenous ways of knowing and being is presented in the course of the show is wonderful and that sort of thing is very nourishing feeling to me. It took me a while to really catch on what was happening, and I think overall it all works really well.
Super Spoilers for the very ending
So, uh, how about those last few seconds of the show though, eh?? I have a feeling this was a 9 or 10 episode script that ended up with the budget to produce 8 episodes. I can easily suspend my… disbelief(?) (Critical feelings?) towards the very ending though, and accept that it getting a weirdly abstract and almost Sopranos style abruptly ambiguous/ambiguously abrupt ending is better than it not being produced at all.
