Throwing a ton of old stuff away/cleaning house. Finding a lot of old late ’90s-mid ’00s computer game stuff (mostly edutainment & cereal box fare which I may make a separate post about), including this booklet of NCSoft-published MMORPGs. Interesting to see which of them are still up and running. Back when I played Guild Wars in 2007 I thought Aion looked cool (solely on the basis that the avatar characters have wings): I guess others thought so too as it’s still kicking. On the other hand Tabula Rasa bit the dust almost as soon as it started, even going free-to-play just before its closure in an effort to retain enough players. I’m not surprised City of Heroes/Villains didn’t last, though I wonder if it would have had it launched a decade later. Anyone have a history with these?
