i’m sorry this is happening. sounds like and extremely stressing situation.

Yeah we are in quite a situation at the moment. We had to buy the game back from our publisher because they were not doing anything and also had no staff. We were going to pay that buyback money back with stadia money, since stadia was basically guaranteed income. So yeah, we are “in a tight spot” as they might say in oh brother where art thou

I thought it was really interesting that stadia had such a nice community. I wonder why?

I doubt it was anything intentionally curated by google!

zako Perhaps Brandon would care to differ, but none of the Stadia devs I’ve spoken to struck me as particularly excited or optimistic about the platform, let alone full-on true-believer types, so I wonder if people bonded over the shared understanding that they were all there to ride the gravy train while they could and then dip.

Oh, it wasn’t the devs that were move gsk it was the fans. The devs definitely paid little attention. My feeling was they were nice because they felt like underdogs, and because they were outnumbered, so yelling wasn’t going to work. I do think the reddit and discord were curated pretty heavily so that may have affected the culture. But overall I find it pretty surprising and don’t totally know why they were so nice.

We launched the game as a shadowdrop on the indieworld holiday thingie today! Prettttty neat. If you go to the switch house of indie feature we are right in there.
