After going through the entire family computer ROM library, organizing them, I’d realized I don’t have much of a family computer backlog. I’d already played or beaten everything I’d wanted to from 1983->1990, and it’s far from my favorite console.
But recent homebrew and ROMs made in recent years are so good that it warrants still having the console. While everyone else just takes a passing glance through emulators, these games are really, really cool on hardware connected to a CRT:
- M1 developed GAPLUS.nes
- Pacman Championship edition, made by one japanese fan and published by Namco
- NEO Heiyankyo Alien, amazing soundtrack, also made professionally (idr who)
Now that NES maker has been out long enough, tons of stuff is happening
more I haven’t tried yet
- Gardman
- Blazing Rangers
- Metroid Rogue Dawn
