ninja theory’s dmc was so good I had to buy the definitive edition after finishing the copy I pirated. the combat is a fun and original twist on the series’ foundations. I loved the they live homage, and dante’s character arc is complete and satisfying.

I keep listening to music I really loved 5 years ago and it’s doing very little for me. What’s wrong with me? Is something wrong with me? Is my taste changing, or have I just wrung that particular stuff dry? I guess I figured as recently as 5 years ago that my tastes were less malleable than in years prior; then again that’s stupid, I’m young and ignorant of what all is out there. Even just since joining these forums I’ve been taking in a lot of new stuff and figuring out what I like. Or is music I used to like not scratching the same itch a risidual effect of living for 2 years under conditions marginally but not insignificantly divergent from what they had been prior to March 2020? Hmmm.

A part of me wants to start a forum Jeopardy tournament kind of like what yeso’s doing, but another part of me doesn’t want to deal with the severe logistical problems that would inevitably arise from that. Also, it’s the sort of thing that would only make sense in a spoken context, and I don’t think the forum leans enough into video production to make that viable.

every time I see that Street Fighter 30th Anniversary thing go on sale I think, boy, what a value, and look at how nicely arranged all the stuff is, and there’s all that extra stuff that Brandon did, and Third Strike looks incredible… before remembering I don’t like Street Fighter, and that I should invest my time and energy in getting good at BlazBlue and/or Guilty Gear instead

If it weren’t for turbo/speed keys I don’t think I’d have ever finished any rpg released prior to 1995. Whenever I ruminate on such games, I pretend they were made at that pace to begin with, otherwise I’d consider them all tremendously boring.
