shane Oh wow, that is pretty terrible to hear (but also not completely surprising somehow, haha). I had pretty much written Godot off at different points, but yeah, I think this makes it final. Thank you again for the information!
And yeah, the idea that they can’t provide ports is totally garbage! But again, it’s not that surprising– it’s as though they learned from the unbelievably predatory ecosystem that’s developed around mobile app porting/localization/monetization services or something. It’s extra gross to have it foisted on you by the folks who make the engine you’re using.
And I mean this is all some real yacht-whining on my part, given how like 25 years ago the idea of porting a game to multiple consoles would have meant just writing it over from the ground up.
