I’m relieved Stadia never took off because the idea of basically-unpreservable exclusive video games sucks really bad, but man the way they treated game devs and their own employees is absolutely inexcusable. No advance communication with devs about their games being immediately delisted, even games with upcoming releases. People working on Stadia were only told minutes before the public. For the handful of actually exclusive games, you’re no longer able to get them at all because they shut the store down immediately after announcing the closure.
Google can absorb the hit because they’re such a big company, but the way they’re treating everyone else involved is inexcusable.
