Y’all have good taste… The NGPC and WonderSwan had many amazing colors. I got a Mother 3 micro back in 2006 and I didn’t realize until much later the concept of its design is that the console is worn from use, a well-loved console has signs of wear on it. It made me less covetous of the micro, more incentivized to cherish it than to obsess over avoiding any scratches.
Over years of collecting and purging…. I came to prefer the default color scheme / the one I had as a kid. N64 made me realize this. While the funtastic series consoles are beautiful, all I need / want is a gray N64 like I always had. Same with controller colors usually….. Of course there’s exceptions… and it gets harder to decide with portables. I’m not the only one here who has more gameboys than they need….
Once I imported a Symphonic Green Gamecube bundle for around two hundred dollars, just to turn around and sell it for four hundred. The week I had it in my possession was cool. It’s certainly a sight to behold!
