Ooohhhkayyyy, so DJ Tentmode is on hiatus this month I guess. A combined sense of composer’s block and also prioritizing some other things in life means that if you get a Slow song, you’re going to have to be even more patient.
I’m mixing it up and submitting these two miniatures I painted over the course of June. They are from the Infinity tabletop game which I’ve been playing and painting for a few years depending on how you count with pandemics and such. I have a personal rule that I generally don’t put a model down on the table unless it’s painted which keeps me from hording new models. They come as an un-assembled kit and you need to spend some time filing and sanding and cleaning up injection mold flashing and parting lines before you can superglue them together and then paint them up.

I’m particularly proud of the shading which I think turned out pretty good and the weathering effects.
In-game, these are reasonably inexpensive (in terms of point cost) highly-maneuverable weapons platforms you use for area denial. Good for preventing your opponent from getting to the objectives on your side of the table or for covering your back line. They can often be specced with “repeaters” which extend the range of your team’s hackers (… basically wizards). They are from the Nomads faction which are a faction of semi-anarchists who are affiliated by their absolute hatred and distrust of the rest of humanity’s artificial intelligence: Aleph. So they’re a very Insert Credit faction. 😋
These took most of the month to complete, so I think they’re slow.
I also completed my 💯 mile “Century” bike ride on the 19th and averaged 14.2 MPH in the saddle. Also not exactly fast.
