I found out about this game by coming home and finding that my girlfriend had bought it on our Switch after simply searching the store for the word “cats.” She had a lot of fun with it! It’s a cool daily-sim-rpg with light combat, where you’re a cat. It was much more mechanically interesting than I would have expected at first glance, and has very positive reviews on Steam!

I mentioned this game a little bit ago when I posted it in Last Letter Game and I really mean it when I say everyone should give it a shot! It’s a really clever action, puzzle game that is a joy to look at (although, it is very Japanese heavy though so I know nothing about what’s happening in the story).

I think it’s less that you almost killed the game and more that the What’s That Game threads have been moving slowly in general. I’ve noticed it happening since Vagarious II (which almost did kill the game), and the Easy Mode thread has been stalling on my entry for a while now.

Anyway, I should say that like @kory before me, I managed to figure this out not by actually recognizing the game, but by recognizing enough contextual clues to narrow it down significantly. And like @kory before me, I’ll let others guess in case they actually do recognize the game on sight.

I tried playing this game recently as a potential 20 questions candidate and of the (many, many) impediments, this ubiquitous nigh illegible typeface may have been the most headache inducing!

kory Omikron is a near impenetrable fortress that I know well. I never played it but watched an entire playthrough by a group of youtubers I used to follow. It was considered the peak of their channel as they meandered through the game. I would recommend watching it to any 19 year old without much social life in the year of 2016.

kory Here it is. It feels somewhat dated which is why I am hesitant to recommend it. I’m fairly certain that insert credit and that channel have some overlap in audience.
