Although I’ve played every game from the Gameboy to the DS, I’ve only owned Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Crystal. That said, for me personally, I’m not a fan of anything past Gen 2, not cause of the Pokemon, but the visuals and sound don’t appeal to me.
Nowadays, I actually manage the largest collection of GB/GBC hacks, bootlegs, prototypes, translation, and so forth. I think… 8-bit was just always my thing when it came to Pokemon, and sure the later generations offer up a lot of new Pokemon to catch and all that, the storyline hasn’t really changed, so I’ve seen no reason to continue playing them.
I’ll just wait for the next hack.
