So yeah I returned my copy of the game today. I’m bummed because I for sure saw progress moving in a cool direction. I was digging the open world battles and the character designs and music in particular. I thought about holding onto it to “document” or whatever the glitches and stuff but I don’t know why I would need to take that upon myself—when someone releases a broken game twitter is all over that, and it gets old fast. I kind of just wanted to play a game that works lol.
I had the thought back in July “can I learn enough Spanish by launch to play through the entire game (with my phone beside me open to the WordReference app) in the language?” and it was definitely looking possible. My glacial pace and everything else just took the wind out of my sails.
I’m also sad because my entrenadora was cute as a button. Here she is with her hair clipping through her gorro:
Maybe they’ll patch the hell out of the game and I’ll return. In the meantime I’m gonna play one of the mainline entries I’ve been told so often by people I respect are good, like White and Moon.
