The problem is, (with exceptions) Nintendo doesn’t stand for anything, and therefore can’t have their mickey mouse like mascot stand for anything either. Mario is the type of low information voter to find out about foreign policy via a Stephen Colbert monologue. He is incredibly hard to pin down, psychologically. I do not think he would vote given the chance, and if asked for political affiliation, would not choose either left or right wing.
