That aside, I can’t believe Gamesmaster got mentioned but not this meme-level clip of, probably, the highest profile rage quit that I can think of.
For context, Dave Perry, the loser, had been seen as Mr Unbeatable at games, and in the lead up to the show regularly commented that he felt the hype around N64 was killing pre-Christmas sales of other systems. He claims that he was set up, and there’s a brief retrospective account on Eurogamer, but Dave quit the show after this incident and there was quite a bit of toxicity between him and Dom Diamond / the show afterwards.
