Tradeghouls 'n ghosts it’s 5 mins of hail. If it was anything at all, I’d be concerned about cracked solar panels! Lol! But it’s not so I’m not! Nor have I ever!
I guess people forgot that hail is a natural weather event and not a sign of the apocalypse

It hails here every couple years for 5 mins like I said— so there’s no excuse unless you are only 4 years old lol

Anyways today has been epic and beautiful and I’m running errands blasting tunes and the peoples are all out too!

I got 400 watts of direct current from solar today, that’s huge.

Looking forward to more rain the rest of the week, I’m stocked up again and gonna enjoy some epic gaming sessions and riding my bicycle in the rain to work :)

I’m starting to figure out how drifting/stopping works on ice. I can sort of do a one-sided plough on both sides now, it feels like half of a hockey stop. Compared to inlines where the steeper your carve the easier to break traction, it feels like I have to keep my blades almost perpendicular to the ice? I know people can stop at steep angles with experience, but it still scares the shit out of me to commit.

There were like three kids out on the ice and one of them threw a fit and just sat in a corner of the arena enjoying some liminality for half the hour. This little guy was cheesed!!

We’re getting some very light snow right now but every individual snowflake is really distinct, so when I let the dog out this morning the light was reflecting off of all them and it was a really beautiful effect. I took some video but I’m going to see if I can make a gif out of it or something so I can post it here.

Snapped this pic just as the snow storm was starting. We’ve gotten quite a few centimetres more that have fallen since. Currently at home and just saw a lightning strike and heard its corresponding thunder right after. Weather!!!!

Glad it’s not just me! We got a whole centimetre of snow in about 45 minutes earlier today, which promptly melted.

So we got a tiny tiny amount of snow overnight, so little that it’s already melted off the sidewalk. Maybe this is it for snow this year? My neighbours have all cautioned that I shouldn’t ever count snow out until mid May or so though, so we’ll see?

@connierad so how bout all this tree damage?? I didn’t have a camera on me this morning but I saw a few old trunks split in half with crews driving around to collect the debris. There are downed branches in my backyard!

the rocky connrrr picture show We have a few small branches that fell in the backyard but there was a huge branch from my neighbour’s giant tree that literally woke me up this morning from the sound of it cracking and falling down. Between this and the derecho trees here can’t catch a break :(

Our place didn’t have power since suppertime yesterday and until around noon today, so I figured I’d go into the office to warm up/charge my devices. Even the walk to the bus stop was treacherous! Broken branches all over sidewalks and I even had to hop over a downed power line (!). All while the fog made everything look Silent Hill-core.
