Really enjoyed this episode! The last one with Gita on was one of my favourites as I trawled through the archives, so it was wonderful for them to be back a whole Musk-buyout later.
However, as an English (for now), I have to defend Pullblox over Pushmo. Do you know what you do in that game? Pull on blocks. It makes the sequel titles more cohesive too : Fallblox for the gravity-filled sequel, Fullblox for the free-to-start one that brings all kinds of mechanics together and Pullblox World on the Wii U - well, I’m not defending that one.
Regrettably, I wasn’t aware of Rieko Kodama until her memorial on the new Mini Genesis, but I’ve come to appreciate everything she did since then. Happens all too often that I only find out about great artists after their passing, but I felt that the almost half-hour of eulogising was a beautiful tribute. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it, I’'m going to come back to that segment a few times, I expect. It’d be wonderful for Harper Jay or Azurelore to come back on the show as guests again, but their contributions to that segment really stood out to me; when I heard the news about Kodama, my first thought was to check transgamerthink.
With my Steam Deck emulation non-existent but possible, I’m conflicted on if I should play through Skies of Arcadia sooner rather than later when I get it on there or if I should just read Harper’s novelisation now. Definitely an RPG I’ve been wanting to experience someday and doubly so in light of this.
