Max asks: What is the most fun or interesting scoring mechanic in a shooting game? (10:59)
Grazing was a pretty fun mechanic: easy to understand, hard to master, thrilling risk/reward balance etc. Psyvariar is usually the poster child for this system (and invented the term ‘grazing’ if I recall correctly) but I believe Raiden Fighters did it first.

Ross Hamrick asks: Which arcade racing game has the best manual transmission? (52:01)
The 4→2→4 shift allowing for instant drifting in Daytona USA remains unmatched in both systemic fun, physical thrill (that indestructible gearbox is apex cabinet design) and absurdist arcadey logic.
