treefroggy I felt a similar dip in love for the game as I reached the final chapters, but as soon as i was let free back into the world with all that behind me, everything that was bringing me down immediately left my mind and the game returned to its prominent place in my heart.

I am extremely here for this Level 5 resurgence. They also released a gameplay trailer for DECAPOLICE, which I’m quite interested in. Looks very stylish:

And a teaser for that new Layton game, which is light on details but I’m optimistic:

Lot of good news if like me you’ve been disappointed by Level 5’s absence (at least in localized, non-mobile games) in recent years.

Hell yeah Exoprimal open beta! I wanna play this so bad.

Back in the good old days when Lost Planet was a recent release, I spent most of a day in a lobby with Japanese players. They were laughing and being chill which was a nice change from the feral westerners spouting slurs. It was just a lovely day of one of my favourite games. I long for the days of playing Lost Planet multiplayer a lot and Exoprimal gives me major LP vibes. The wormholes vomiting out raptors just looks like happiness.

Syzygy Anyone played this yet? I’ve sort of stopped tracking non-Nintendo Switch games because without a next-gen console or phat gaming PC I just assume I’m getting an inferior product, but… the teasers I saw made the game look EXTREMELY similar to the original RE4, which is still 100% playable in 2023, so without actually playing it I’m starting to wonder what the point is.

Speaking of remakes/remasters: the Fatal Frame IV remaster just came out and apparently the System Shock remake is finally dropping later this month, both games I’ve been curious about for a long long time. Any opinions on those from people familiar with the respective series?

Apparently some kind of Steam SNAFU is parsing the demo players as being in-game for Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium.

Syzygy I searched Youtube for Unturned and the first video is from a year ago, in which a guy says that he played 2000 hours of the game before taking a “multi-year break” and coming back, which means this game has been going on for quite a while right beneath our collective noses! Judging from the aesthetic, probably very popular with the kids.

wickedcestus yeah, its been around for like 10 years lol. was a roblox game initially, then redone in unity and put on steam. was your best choice if you were a kid who wanted to play dayz but didn’t have the computer/dosh for arma 2

Unturned is a kinda legendary indie game among late teens / young adults, emerging from the mid-2010s as it originated from the Roblox FPS scene. Made by a single Canadian teenager; I think he was 15 at the time.

sdead I was quite interested to see it started in Roblox! I guess it makes sense when you look at the art style. It’s cool that a lot of these big games among youth/teens are indie or solo developers instead of giant companies. I mean, I know Fortnite is the biggest thing, but it seems there are a lot of smaller, somewhat weirder multiplayer games getting their due. Among Us being a prime example.

I downloaded Paradise Killer with gamepass and gave it a shot, it’s very stylish and ran really well on my pc. Cute and interesting, idk if I’ll be able to make it far before it’s no longer on game pass.

When I get the chance I am absolutely going to make certain to download Wo Long with gamepass. Looking forward to it as a lover of sekiro.

Great news, Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg (the PS1 version of the upgraded Saturn port of the original PS1 game – get it?) will be available (in English!) in the Digital Deluxe edition of Atelier Marie: Remake.
