I read Gematsu once a week typically and I like that the primary focus is Japanese games but that there’s also a degree of interesting Western stuff too. Quite astonishing that it’s one person doing everything too. I used to read Siliconera very regularly too but since its merger with another site that I forget they name of, and the messy mishmash of anime TV and films from its counterpart website mixed with Siliconera’s games stuff I’ve found myself rarely going there.
Other than that, I read Eurogamer and occasionally Nintendo Life, RPG Site, and Time Extension. I used to read VGC for a while after it launched a couple of years ago as it presented itself as a no-nonsense news site but I can barely stand it anymore because the density of articles that were reporting from the grapevine, and as much as I hate the term, clickbaity, article titles felt like they’d become just another website.
Other than those I follow a bunch of people on Twitter with niche interests.
