Harvestella is absolutely much worse by every metric than elden ring though, so I’m not sure the comparison works. Harvestella is soundly mediocre at the best of times, and I might not have continued if not for the weird vocals in this track that sound like they’re recorded by gremlins in a tin can 10 miles away. I wasn’t even sure when playing the game and having all these fx going on that the vocals were even there, for a while. Best song in the game and they frontloaded with it but that worked for me.
anyhoo I think for most folks Elden Ring is a very engaging game, and they’re compelled to play it. Harvestella is a game which, when I am compelled to play a game in general, is easy to play, and satisfies the idea of “I am playing a game.” but it’s not in itself compelling. if that makes sense! cool song though
