Got 2 tickets to a showing of New York Ninja (double featch with Miami Connection) at the New Beverly Theater in Los Angeles. Just realized I accidentally bought tickets to yesterday’s and today’s showings lol. I went yesterday and it was great!

New York Ninja was originally filmed in 1984, but production was cut off at some point and all that was left of it was raw, uncut footage with no sound at all. Vinegar syndrome did their best to figure out what the heck was going on and dubbed it. Here’s a trailer. Lemme know if you’re interested and I’ll forward you the tickets!

The game is visually and conceptually really cool - unfortunately the about ⅔ mark has some arduous puzzles that require repeat traversal that made me not finish it legitimately (just watched some playthroughs for the last bit), but it’s worth a good handful of hours to check out the rather wild world and piece together what’s going on.

Would anyone have any use for some Game Boy Advance link cables? I’ve got two of them (the official Nintendo ones). I also have two GBA Wireless Adapters. I don’t know why anyone would have use for these things outside of hardcore Pokédex manipulation or something.

Come to think of it, how popular is it to play emulated GBA games in multiplayer? When was the last time someone got Kirby and the Amazing Mirror going with four people?

Anyone here in the LA area want a late 2012 iMac? I got a new job in May and they set me up with a computer to use at home, and my old one has just been sitting in the closet. I figured someone could probably get some use out of it. It’s definitely old, but it was still running fine before I switched (it has 16gb ram and an SSD and I mostly used it for running Photoshop and the Adobe Suite).

This might be a tough giveaway, so… Alternatively, does anyone know of any good organizations that can use donated computers? Seems like a waste to recycle / give it back to Apple.

I have a PAL promotional / review copy of Magna Carta 2 for the Xbox 360, somewhere if anyone wants it. Pretty good 7 or 8 out of 10 JRPG but I don’t think it’s backwards compatible on Xbox One or Series X.

I am definitely interested in that, being kind of a 360 collector and enthusiast. I’m not 100% sure it will play on my NTSC-U 360— it’s sufficiently obscure to not appear on region-lock lists— but if it doesn’t, I’d happily enshrine it unless someone in PAL regions wants it to play.

Syzygy Sure thing. I’ll dig it out over the weekend and try and also try and find out whether it’s region-free or not. It’s just a disc inside a slim jewel case so none of that lovely art… but the game is good!

captain No idea what to do with this stuff, and it seems like more trouble than it’s worth even just for the shipping cost.

Whenever I have stuff like that to get rid of I take it to my local independent retro / specialist games store. It’s the kind of stuff that they can either display in or around the shop as curios or sell on with a copy of the game that they’ll inevitably get traded in one day.

I have a sealed copy of House of Traps on Bluray to give away. I realised this morning that I bought it twice on two separate occasions. It’s region B (UK and maybe Europe?) and am happy to post abroad if you have a compatible player.

Secondly, Syzygy apologies, I totally forgot to respond. I did a little digging around and that Magna Carta 2 disc isn’t region free after all, I’m afraid.
