Also as hypocritical as it may be coming from me, who explicitly enabled Alex Jaffe to give money directly to the actual Playboy Magazine, and could potentially have almost inadvertently killed Alex Jaffe in doing so, I’m just going to take a moment to myself echo Frank’s recommendation to NOT earmark donations to the Video Game History Foundation as “for Playboys”

As one might guess, there’s already a seemingly exhaustive archive of Playboy in the internet archive, so Frank probably doesn’t need to buy those Playboys. That being said, I think Frank should buy the Playboys.

@Gaagaagiins won this episode. I thought that segment was going to be about games which featured Playboy somewhere, like the Playboy Karaoke games on the Saturn. I would have been sure that blonde girl from Gaijin Entertainment’s X-Blades was in there (Hungarian developer, Polish publisher). Pretty crazy that Sony participated (twice!) but then again that’s the “sacrificing goats at PR events” era of video games.

I agree with Jaffe that Frank is ignoring (bad) video games history by refusing to buy these Playboy issues. This is like the MLB avoiding to include the Steroid Era in the Hall of Fame!

Like I saw Jacqui and said what the hell is Blitz: The League. I so very vaguely remember the game. The description for it is so extremely Spike network. I imagine it probably was the college dorm battlegrounds for a while for somebody but is that really the audience for playboy at the time?

I joined the forums to specifically say that I did not, absolutely did not, send any money to the VGHF for Playboys. And if I did, I would have been nice enough to say that my donation could go to the general funds once the Playboys have been acquired. But I did not.
