I finished activating all the map towers last night! My last stop was of course in the Gerudo Highlands, and that gang of Zonai soldiers guarding the chest nearby are some tough customers.
I’m playing the game fundamentally different from how I approached botw on my first playthrough and I don’t know if that’s necessarily a bad thing or if EPD could have done anything to change it. What are they going to do, give you the map from the outset? At least the puzzles some of these towers face you with are short and sweet instead of having them soft-gated by physical dangers, and the depths aren’t illuminated in the same way.
I’ve also recouped maybe four of the titular tears and it’s really jarring to hear Zelda’s story told completely out of sequence. I went from memory 4 to 10 to like 17 or whatever. Just have whatever tear I pick up tell me the next part of the story!
I really miss what you could do in botw, where you could whip the controller with gyro turned on and then cancel out of magnesis to throw shit or slam things into the ground. Master Hand just doesn’t move fast enough to carry the momentum necessary to break stuff. Master Hand? more like “faster, hand!!!”
