My first album was in fact Aqua’s “Aquarium”. I’m one of the few weirdos that has bought all three Aqua albums and enjoyed all of them. I bring up this song at every given opportunity.

Also I was kinda bummed to hear none of them seemed to like Planet of The Bass. It’s way too catchy for it’s own good.

there was a point like 15-20 years ago where me and a couple friends were listening to a bunch of songs backwards just to see how that was and barbie girl reversed always stuck out at me as particularly good. it gets real beautiful imo and part of me always wanted to record some reverse covers like this, but changing the instrumentation and lyrics so it all plays forward, not the vwoop zwook hwoop backwards drums etc, just do the backwards structure so it just sounds like a regular ass song but weirdly familiar. the reverse melody is still stuck in my head to this day

I don’t know enough about it to stand by what I’m saying here, but I think the hot mess known as Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman is probably not the most American Japanese game. It might be one of the least American things Japan has ever produced, despite the premise.
