I’ve mentioned this in another thread recently, but I used to do hella “photography” in Second Life. It has pretty decent screenshot+camera tools, though not a "“proper”" photo mode like games get today. Some people get really into supersampled Lightroomed glamour shots of characters (like half of everything on Flickr now is SL), but I mostly just took snaps of stuff I thought looked cool, neat, funny, whatever. phone camera stuff. here’s some random ones out of an unsorted folder of thousands. (I don’t like knowing I took that many.)
there’s exactly ONE underweared woman in here, but it looks more like the box art for a “mature” PSX rpg than pornography. I think that’s above board here? still, maybe mind where you’re opening these. (or lemme know if it’s not! i can edit the post!)
^ the classic Insilico roleplay sim, one of the first places I take people on “tours.” It’s about 250 square kilometers of noughties cyberpunk cityscape, w/ shipping container clothing stores, dirty apartments, hologram strip clubs, and an arcade with a Toejam and Earl cabinet. I actually took this the other day; @safety_lite is just out of frame!
^ some WW2 combat RP sim. Haven’t ended up here in years, and it was totally empty when I did, so maybe it’s gone. Was HUGE, and they had pretty extensive custom scripts for damage and first aid and stuff.
^ this is at a place called Conejo Island (some nsfw in the gallery page!), thats run by some artists i sort of know. Absolutely everything there is 10x cuter than this pic, but iirc this one is the result of some broken light settings in a tiny square that got fixed, so that makes it a REAL photo, or whatever.
^ Trans Day of Remembrance 2007. There’s a whole garden around here, but I guess I didn’t get pics of that…
^ There’s a huge culture of motorcycle clubs with the boomers+Xers on here, probably because of Sons of Anarchy. They like to build these huge nonsense Mario Kart tracks to race on. I don’t know why this one is castles.
^ i think this is meant to be an afk animation? but it looks like she’s going to break out of it after two turns and do 3033 damage to every enemy in the front row.
^ the dungeon under “Linden Baronial Castle.” The legends say this is where admins used to lock people for “stealing” Linden Bears. (some people are very serious about collecting those. i once met some goon with almost ALL of them. terrifying person.)
^ this place was fully set up like a national park, little signs telling you about the plants, how they were used, how the animals will kill you, etc.
^ one of a few “raves” I technically helped my friends throw early in quarantine. interior for this one is 99% designed by one guy who had been in the SL art scene for like 15 years, but he changed his username a few times and now I don’t know who (if??) he is in my friends list lol..
