antillese Yeah homie, play on whatever floats your boat. Honestly, aesthetically, I really like the look of a lever on a fightstick, but I like how easy a all button controller is to slip into a bag and how you can get a really clean uninterrupted image like you were talking about.
The “hit-stick” scott pilgrim one is what I use when I’m playing something that feels better with a stick, like a 2D platformer/metriodvania/or beat-em-up. It’s mostly for SoR4 and Hollow knight
