I avoided this topic because of the title. Emulators are pretty simple for beginners, in the 5th grade I was at my friend’s house and he showed me how to drag and drop .sfc files onto snes9x.
But I see y’all are discussing mods, ODE’s, flash carts etc. here.
Just scrolling through, I see a lot of links and videos relevant to stuff besides emulation.
I do all my own mods & mods for my friends. All my consoles are capable of playing backups. I created the cheapest way to source, splice, create high quality RGB and component cables for retro consoles.
I just finished finally getting my PS2 backups together. Only thing I have left to work on more is Xbox original. Currently I have 3 units under my bed.
IDK really what’s going on in this thread, but if anyone needs advice/info, I have an all-encompassing knowledge of this stuff, since I weighed out the options for all my consoles and did all the work myself. I also have extensive knowledge of CRTs, have worked with many of them over the years, done arcade restorations, and have spoken with / met up with the famous PVM guru, since he lives nearby.
When I first moved into a van, I had 3 CRTs in here. Two 9″ sony consumer sets, and a 20″ PVM.
Now, I have a 17″ JVC broadcast monitor, and a 24″ LED tv. I always have had CRTs, no matter where I live. There are homeless campers out here with CRTs lying around. IDK if I sympathize with the space concerns. CRT is the rightful centerpiece to any gamers home. I sound elitist, because I probably am? I’m a CRT master race person? Is it possible to be elitist when you hang out with homeless people every day? I do use my LCDTV for 480p-1080p gaming sometimes, but rarely. For consoles like Gamecube, PS2, Xbox original, PS3, and Switch. However, I also use my CRT for all of those consoles sometimes, even Switch. Haha.
So anyways I guess you could AMA?
