rejj Takakeisho does not look impressive in the slightest. I know it is still early days yet, but I would not be surprised to see him fail his kadoban recovery and finally get demoted down from Ozeki at the end of this tournament. He won today to have an even 1-1 record, but I’m just not sold.
rejj I’m being made to at least partially eat my words! Day 5 is complete and he has a share of the lead at 4-1. I maintain that he still does not look impressive, however he is getting the results anyway and that’s all that matters for him presently.
I am here to officially eat my words, and say that I suppose you just shouldn’t listen to me about anything sumo:

I was thoroughly displeased with him in the final championship playoff bout, however. A win is a win, this is a professional sport and there’s nothing against the rules here. I fully understand that, and understand the whole “play to win” mentality – but I don’t have to like it. I don’t feel this is how an Ozeki should be securing the tournament win against an M15.
An interesting midfield race in the F1 this weekend, with the expected result of Max driving away up front. While watching I was wondering just how livid Hamilton would have been had the roles been reversed and it was a teammate pulling those moves on him. He’d be on the radio non-stop whinging about it.
Didn’t matter, Russell did a pretty good job of self-sabotage anyway.
