I have a lot of tools in my office to make all sorts of graphic designs. I don’t think this set is well adored by the community, but if anyone wants it, here is a scan of a few red cards that you all can use as a computer background, or even for your own Magic: The Gathering projects.

I have been scanning in cards to be used as assets for page layouts and video creation.

I am trying to sparingly post here as to not displace any past or future posters, but I am excited in these first few days in playing Magic: The Gathering.

The game dumped packs on my head as a new player, and I had found codes online that dumped even more onto me. 76 by my count! As such, I had more than enough crafting cards to make the mono-blue tempo deck. The one with the Haughty Djinn.

I like how it plays! I even won two ranked matches in a row, which I could not believe. I’ll probably order a physical Haughty Djinn card to have around and display.

Beyond that, I plan on tinkering with my Lord of the Rings cards for a commander deck. I am eyeing Delighted Halfling to use. I love the art, and as far as I can tell, it seems like a good card!

HyggeState heck yeah!! that djinn blue tempo deck is fun as h*ck, and something very similar actually won the pro tour back when I first got back into the game. the pattern of “play a cheap, evasive creature that gets me card advantage, then protect it against anything the opponent can throw at it” is extremely fun and got me to Mythic ranking for the first time. also: heck yeah that hobbit is great, one of the more powerful mana dorks to show up lately. I believe it sees play in the Modern format even, which is saying something because that’s a pretty high bar for power level!!

Bbtomb welcome!!! black is extremely good, high risk high reward type play. i truly believe magic is the best game humans have ever made; i’d teach aliens how to play it as evidence of humanity’s advanced capabilities.

Inspired by @HyggeState I also started playing MTG this week (via Arena). It’s fun!! I unlocked all 15 starter decks and redeemed every code I could find, so now I just gotta settle on a deck to build. In the trial process I particularly liked playing black decks, but who knows.

Bbtomb Here is a list (uh-oh) of Magic: The Gathering Arena codes I used just a few days ago. It netted me 76 packs, XP, gems, and other goodies. It was so much that I could make 3 decks. One of which is the above Haughty Djinn!

I’ve actually been playing something similar in Historic Brawl, which is a neat format once you’ve built up a decent collection.

turns out putting every UR Spellslinger Draft Archetype card from the past 5ish years together makes something way too fast for atraxa decks to keep up with (in historic brawl, anyway. which, again, I recommend as a format, even with the weird alchemy cards!!)

also, true to my name, here’s the Esper Control deck i’m rocking in standard right now. thinking about taking out Teferi Who Slows The Sunset, card hasn’t made much of an impact. otherwise this list feels soooooooo good right now.

if you hate seeing Atraxa or Sheoldred or whatever other card you know your opponent is overrelying on, it feels SO GOOD to cast The End and watch them concede on the spot.

I play in a booster draft at my local game store every week, and Gingerbrute has been an auto-pick for me since Throne of Eldraine. :P Haste. Unblockable. And I get to eat him? Hells yeah!

sosadillatron it really is an excellent design. it says something that we can make a colorless 1/1 with haste, evasion and cash-in upside that every color is allowed to play. magic design is so neat to me!!
