exodus Really neat stuff from the late 80s to mid 90s, way before most folks were thinking about games this way! Worth looking at, definitely.
Artists were working with glitch art surprisingly early, actually. It’s just that (off the top of my head, anyway) it took a long time for the commercial game sector specifically to show interest in art styles beyond translating conventional art styles into video games, IE in glitch art and retro art. Top Banana (by the electronic music band Hexstatic) is another early example: it delights in compression and glitching and all those other good computer artifacts. In fact, all the graphics are stored uncompressed on the disk itself to encourage people to mess around with the game/assets.
