I wanted to make a playlist of “purple”-sounding video game music but never went through with it (also got hung up on whether the music really sounded purple to me or whether I was making some kind of visual association with the graphics of the game when thinking of the music), and anyway I thought too much about what sounds purple to me, and I just want to say this. sounds. purple.

If anyone’s interested, the game is called Super Waluigi World, and it’s Ape Escape but with Waluigi. He’s catching baby Waluigis because he’s a huge stud and has fathered many hundreds of children across time and space.

Baby Waluigis are the main objective, but occasionally he’ll find a Baby Wario (earns him gold) or a Baby Mario / Luigi (to be left alone or led into dangerous situations for bonus points). There are no Peach / Daisy babies to catch as they’re far too bright to get involved in this nonsense.

I think it might be the game to save the Wii U.

last minute second entry. I actually started working on this one before the poem, but I didn’t get too far. idk if anyone here is into skating or or the Skate games, but I used to really be into making realistic edits from those games into full skate parts. took this little vidya game forum challenge as an excuse to get back into it.

video quality is pretty terrible and the sound is real low and the whole thing was made in tiktok bc I needed something easy to put music to, but I’d like to build on this or try it again another week with iMovie or something.

Minor Announcement!!

I’m super happy that everyone had fun with our very first Jam. If you have been keeping up with my updates, I mentioned something about announcing topics ahead of time, but we’re going to opt to keep it simple instead and begin to announce the new topics the day-of to avoid any confusion. So for clarity, the next announcement will happen next Sunday. Feel free to post anything you made for the previous topic if you would like to, even though our new topic has already begun. There’s no such thing as being “late!” We’re all just having fun here.

So without further ado, lets keep on makin’ and sharing!

The new Jam will be here, I’ll make a new thread once April ends, that way we can have a monthly thread archive, instead of having tons of weekly threads. I’ve included a link to the first work in Jam 1 as a way to track where each Jam begins in the opening post, and they will all be listed in numerical order. Each new thread will be organized just like this one, with all the pertinent information/guidelines in the opening post. I’ll do my best to keep everything consistent. I may reach out for help if I have a particularly busy week. Other than that, everything seems to be going really smoothly!
