omg this is an aesthetic that is close to my heart (thanks @kory for the recommendation), that I don’t have words for. I thought of it as “pixel art” for a time, but there’s a ton of uber-high-res pixel art out there. “little tiny graphics” though, yes please.

… i also really really like the visual style of bitsy games and pico-8 games in general, though I don’t dig the technical shackles that come along with them. i’m not SOO stuck on the 8×8 pixel tiles (i’m making a game right now with 8×5 pixel tiles for some reason) but it’s a nice starting point!
