I gotta be honest that this may be so far off because I haven’t played A Short Hike. However, the game Wide Ocean Big Jacket might scratch that itch a bit. It might be entirely superficial; I mention it primarily because it’s a short game literally about camping. A Woman and her boyfriend take her niece and the niece’s friend camping and have a series of conversations. I recommend it cautiously, because I didn’t love it, but it has some really nice simple stories about life. Again, I have no idea how close that is to A Short Hike.

If what you’re looking for is noise heavy electronic music, I would highly recommend TOBACCO. My favorite album of his is Sweatbox Dynasty, but his most recent, F*cked Up Friends 3, is good as well. It’s less industrial and more just semi groovy noise music that partially sounds like it came from a Casio keyboard. He also has a track, Babysitter, that features Trent Reznor

TOBACCO also has a joint album, Malibu Ken, with Aesop Rock, whom other people already recommended. It has a really consistent sound throughout, but I think the individual tracks also cover many different moods. Plenty of hyper saturated synth sounds and bassy drum tracks.
