Updog glad chauzmaru basically responded how I would have. That video series takes into account the majority of people are emulating. If you search any WA game it’s usually emulated 99% of the time including speed runs of stuff like diving knight. If you are someone who mostly emulates already, then yes just emulate wonderswan.
Personally I use hardware for all games. I’m finding the wonderswan ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT to get ahold of an original unit with a quality OEM screen. I will finish up my huge wonderswan post about it soon.
So in summary, if you already emulate everything, you are missing pretty much the exact same amount by not using wonderswan hardware as you would with a gameboy pocket or DMG, except for a handful of cases where the controls can be confusing when switching aspect ratios on wonderswan emulation, majority of which are catalogued in that video series or other places online, since most people who go through the ws library do it on emulator.
That wasn’t much of a summary but a big Runon sentence, I’m very sick right now with a fever sorry.
