exodus It definitely was, but something about the updated models in DX just made everything seem even more exaggerated.

Maybe the best answer is that they’re both ridiculous in different ways?
The characters in DX have a lot of extra little details like fingers and nicer models that are more in line with Sonic Adventure 2’s look, but the underlying game engine is still Sonic Adventure The First’s, weird cutscenes and all.
Neko Sonic Adventure’s lighting on Dreamcast is still better than the vanilla steam version.
