Hi! I’m Kevin. I’m a software developer by day and comedy writer by night. I freelance for the Onion and I’m also an editor at Hard Drive, which is like the Onion but for video games. I discovered Insert Credit by way of Tim’s oeuvre at Kotaku and I really dig the vibe here. I can’t remember the last time I signed up for a forum, but glad to pop my head in and say hello.
I’ve got hobbyist-level interest in game dev, but I never have as much spare time as I’d like to devote to it. I hope to change that soon. I’ve made one game before, a small arcade-style game called Schrödie, based on Schrödinger’s cat. I made it with PICO-8, and shortly after, the software update on my macbook made me unable to use PICO-8 anymore. Some time after that I somehow lost the source code, so I’d like to make a bigger, better version of the game in the future.
(Also, I’m an IRL friend of @TracyDMcGrath, whose face I was surprised to see pop up while scrolling through recent posts in this thread. Hey Mike!)
