Hi all! Just call me goon, everybody calls me that.
I started listening to the podcast post-revival, but have since gone back and listened to a lot of the older eps too. It’s not the only gaming-related podcast i listen to, but the IC crew have a unique perspective and sense of humour I appreciate.
I didn’t own a console until late 1992, when I bought a Super Nintendo (as they were then called) with my own money. I have particularly fond memories of playing Super Mario World and Link to the Past. I then eschewed games from my mid-teens until I was about 30, when I bought a Wii, mostly for Wii Sports. It wasn’t until late 2017, when I got a Switch, that I really got into playing games again. Odyssey and BOTW gave me something like the feeling I’d had playing their SNES counterparts all those years ago, and since then I’ve been making up for lost time, playing both modern games and stuff from the generations I skipped. To that end, apart from the Switch, I now have a PS4, an Xbox One X, and a jailbroken PS3 (who knew these things play PS2 games so well?!)
Favourite non-Nintendo games of the past few years: Red Dead Redemption 2, Judgment, Nier: Automata, Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Currently playing: Carrion, Critical Velocity, Deadly Premonition 2.
