After that rat, another and another.
it’s been a while since i watched it, so i can’t say for sure, but this rotten tomatoes review sums it up pretty well:
i just would rather… not… have any of that. it’s so extremely cheap and trashy. it’s annoying how almost none of these terrible things actually happen, they are just implied to have happened for about five minutes and then are suddenly reversed (the crippled dog is fine now!) and then the movie quickly moves on to the next atrocity. also it kinda makes the character of Babe and the supposed message seem absurd because of how exaggerated everything else is.
edit: now that i think about it, there’s also the farmer falling and being completely crippled, the woman being covered in slime, puke jokes, fat/pig jokes… it’s just like all the greatest hits of ‘“comedy”" that should stay in the 90s’ in one movie (no transphobia, thankfully (looking at you, Ace Ventura)).
