pasquinelli my job has me spending a lot of time in liminal spaces, and sometimes i’m moved to snap a picture. maybe others have some pictures of places, real or in videogames, as viewed situated in a way other than how they were meant to be.
milo pasquinelli This is so cool. Reminds me of when I work the closing shift and am the last one on the grounds. Just such a strange feeling.
kory Took this one many years ago while walking down a long empty corridor to begin my overnight shift
kory Another one from a long time ago, lying in bed and couldn’t fall asleep, something about the way the streetlights dimly streamed through the windows inspired me to reach for my camera, had to increase the ISO to the max
kory Gaagaagiins thank you, that means a lot! I haven’t been keeping up with it as much lately, but I have been thinking of starting a photography thread here to maybe help reignite the creative flame
pasquinelli the sanctuary of a church, disused because of plague. the insides of the sanctuary removed, probably to make space for homeless people to sleep.
pasquinelli tomjonjon that certainly counts. when i’m training someone how to clean mirrors, i always say it’s hard to see the mirror and not the reflection. same with a display: it’s hard to see the screen and not the image.
kory I hope I’m not detracting from the theme of the thread too much, but I sifted through some of my old photos and found a few that I feel abstract or decontextualize otherwise ordinary spaces:
pasquinelli kory that last one reminds me of a school of cosmotology i clean sometimes. heads everywhere…
Gaagaagiins kory wow these are yours?? I scrolled up on them from the bottom and thought you were gonna say you were inspired by this professional collection you found! For real.
Gaagaagiins Oh also I’m confused as hell!! For some reason I thought @kory posted both that second one and the first post too. pasquinelli your shots are great too!! They absolutely nail that liminal feeling.
