idk! i saw trailers for doomdark and it looked to me like hitting the dodgeroll or parry button at the telegraphed attack to open up the medieval cyberdemon for shotgun riposte as if they really couldn’t help themselves after 2 games that were at the very least a take on something that wasn’t a fromsoft joint first. i can’t wait to have the fast paced shooty game stop completely dead six times in a minute to explain to me what an iframe is and how exactly to use it on this demon so i don’t accidentally figure out how to play the game with my own brain cells
doom eternal and i did not get along if you hadn’t noticed lol
After Doom Eternal’s “RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS DONE!” marketing campaign led to a game-pausing “Under no circumstances should you rip or tear, follow our prescribed methodology strictly and to the letter” tutorial within the first 5 minutes.
I do not trust them to know what “another Doom game from id” looks like.
I really liked Doom 2016 but didn’t give Doom Eternal much of a chance after a bad first impression.
I was really weirded out that points or whatever were something you could see as little colorful orbs that move from the enemies to you as you kill them.
I feel like I’m going crazy reading people praise look of the Snake Eater remakester. Am I the only one who thinks they slapped a load of ugly “high fidelity” assets over something beautiful?
It reminds me of those “Mario 64 in remade UE4” demos that completely lose the charm of the original.
Agreed. At a certain point games became good enough to be left alone and allowed to reflect the era they originally existed in. I’m rarely a fan of any remaster.
I just want them to finally release a version of MGS 4 I can play on something other than a PS3.
