my wife and I just opened all our wedding gifts and a ton of people got us kitchen stuff. Now I can't stop thinking about what to cook... I'm particularly curious about the pasta maker that we now own. I've never made pasta before but I am a sucker for shiny, mechanical objects so I was fully nerding out about it yesterday. I sat there just staring at it, and cranking the lever made me feel like I was in a Resident Evil game.

don’t make fun of me but for some reason I thought the SFII moves were legit martial arts I could learn (I knew the hadouken stuff was made up ofc), so I took that gamepro issue with the move list which had little photos of what they all looked like in action out into the yard and went through guile’s moves, trying them irl. But when I tried that one kick he does where he’s upside down I landed weird and broke my collarbone. Luckily didn’t need surgery, just a sling for a while.
i'm at least a decade younger than the rest of you, so by the time I encountered SFII i already knew all about the word guile from that one line in this beastie boys song
