Hmm I only see them in antique shops now. But I will say I’ve seen some newer “throwback” phones on aliexpresss and whatnot. They might be terrible but they do look the part.
whoa! That’s the exact model we had growing up!
Might be worth getting one just to see.
@antillese looking for about 9 to 12 working ones for an art project of sorts but not in a huge rush. Still was thinking about it and it’s kind of hard to find them. I should ask people at garage sales if they have one they are throwing away.
is it safe to wear fred perry polos again or are we still waiting it out
I’m looking for the name of a free-to-play anime farming sim I played on my Nexus 4 in late 2012, early 2013. Does that ring a bell to anyone? For a while when people mentioned Maple Story I thought they meant this game but they might’ve just had similar titles.
It was 3D, not 2D or a sidescroller. I think it took place on a floating island or some shit.
i would answer both your questions if i could.
Is it Mabinogi?
Doesn’t look like it. Also I don’t think this was an MMO? I don’t remember seeing other players anyway.
My first thought is that if it’s not black and yellow you’re probably good, but I dunno. I think there’s some people who might see that logo and still get a bad vibe from it.
maybe Fred Perry polos are done for :(
I just learned about this being a thing! I knew they had connections to the skinheads in the 60s in London, but then they disappeared for a while, to return in Brit-Pop and being almost part of the uniform of that.
Is it the entire brand or just the specific colour?
Wow on this one!
I don’t have a great understanding of the phenomenon here myself but I think it’s that weepy 40 year old right wingers like the black with yellow laurel badge bc it’s Roman Empire or something
It’s based on the old Wimbledon tennis club logo!
Just when I think people can’t surprise me anymore, there’s always a group of people who just turn it up to 11!
a friend and i are wondering:
am i smarter than vladimir lenin?
- yes
- no
you’re probably better at video games
I used to play Touhou with Lenin you would be surprised
there’s only one way to find out
What can I do in Sacramento while waiting for my flight home?
You can check out the old sacramento waterfront for a bit of a wild west experience (they’ve got a train museum too), the crocker art museum has a weird variety of stuff from romantic era oil paintings to experimental modern stuff, if you’re there on the weekend there’s a farmer’s market in mid-town, and a lot of restaurants and bars around there and around the capital. I haven’t spent a ton of time there, but there are worse places to be stranded waiting for a flight!
they could be more specific at the Train Museum
