I don’t wake up with dry mouth, I don’t drink coffee, I don’t eat lunch, I don’t know what a ā€œlacroixā€ is, I don’t work out. I choose to have something nice for dinner instead.

This shit is impossible!

WAIT, HOLD ON!

Do you guys drink like normal beverages ON TOP of 8 liters of water a day?

Depends - I’d say a tea or a lemonade would count toward water, but coffee or alcohol would not.

Also drinking water along with alcohol prevents hangovers! There’s nothing water can’t do.

A data scientist needs to evaluate our answers to see if the #watermelon poll voters are also big water drinkers. I know I’m both!

I’ll have a glass of soy milk sometimes or one of those gut health sodas from the bulk store.

I’m counting my coffee in my hydration alongside regular water and sparkling water (Bubly. Stuff rules). You absolutely should count coffee btw. It’s a myth that it’s a diuretic. you need to drink several cups to get a significant diuretic effect so that morning coffee is contributing to your hydration.

I keep a 1L mason jar and tend to go through it 1-2 times a day so that helps. I’m ADHD as heck and NEED to keep a beverage nearby at all times lest I shrivel like jerky.

If all this is true I feel confident saying I am the most hydrated person in the thread.

I’m one of those folks that tends to only drink water throughout the day. Early adult hood I drank nothing but soda as if I was still a teenager and gave myself type 2 diabetes in my late 20s’ (folks claim you can’t get it from abusing soda, I say bullshit … but in either case soda is really bad for you anyways, so look out).

I can’t really touch caffeine, so water is about it. I don’t ONLY drink water and I am not trying to be a snob about it. I drink alcohol and such when it’s a time n’ place to do so. But I don’t drink coffee, energy drinks, etc. I rarely touch juice. I drink tea during the cold seasons. I got to a point where drinking liquid is more of a hydration thing though, and I don’t need it to taste like anything but decent water.

My water habit also evolved from using water to test if I am hungry or thirsty after my diabetes diagnosis. I am absolutely addicted to food and will emotionally eat if I don’t watch out. So sometimes part of my hunger check is drinking a glass of water. Do I feel better? Do I feel satisfied? Was I just thirsty? Did I just need to consume something? Then kinda go from there.

Long story short: Water is cool y’all.

I regularly drink 3L of water per day. On a slow day I drink maybe half that, but I’m usually on top of it. I also pee a lot, but I seem to do that anyway whether or not I’m drinking that much water. I will never regularly measure the volume of my piss.

On most days, I’ll average around 4L, but there are also days where I forget I’m a creature that needs water to live.

I think I do alright by the end of the day between water, tea, and coffee. I like drinking just water, but any time where I intentionally tried to track and increase the amount any makes it unpleasant fast.

I too find drinking water to be more like a chore than something I enjoy, but I’ve also been trying to not drink as much soda or juice too. Unfortunately this usually means I’m just dehydrated more often lol

One thing that I’ve really enjoyed lately though is that I’ll make a very watered down juice with one of those things of frozen fruit juice concentrate (like one of those in 4L of water when one thing of juice concentrate usually makes only 1.2L of juice), and I’ll also let about a cup of frozen berries infuse in the water overnight.

To me this is a good compromise between just drinking juice and drinking water. It’s a very refreshing drink.

That being said at my most recent former workplace they had a water cooler (can you believe that? A workplace with a water cooler) and DAMN that water was actually pretty good. It made me want to go @onnuhhhh style and pay for drinking water.

Along similar lines, putting a pitcher of watcher in the fridge with some slices of cucumber, or lemon, or whatever fruit you like will make a lightly flavored [fruit]water.

If 64 oz is all you need I shatter that daily and that’s in addition to the things I drink for fun anyway. It’s easy to drink 64 oz and I can’t imagine sitting through a long work day without hydrating
