Brought our pair in for teeth cleaning and one had to get a fang extracted. It was slightly chipped when we adopted her but still a pretty sudden thing to learn and then take action on.

Both doing fine now! Just sleeping in the more remote corners.

The Grand Pisstress strikes again. We have foil on all couches to stop her, then she peed on the blanket on the stool the other cat likes to sleep on. Twice in 3 days. She has a long history of peeing on furniture and people gave her back to the shelter because of it. It’s not a health thing because she’s been checked many times for UTIs and such after doing it and never came back positive. The shelter described it as a behavioural issue but that doesn’t tell us much. I think she just likes peeing on comfy couches, especially if they have a soft blanket.

Maybe she’s always a little on edge because of the other cat? They get along fine enough though. There’s no big change that she would protest against. The one time I’m positive she was protesting was when she peed next to the box when we had our bags out in the livingroom the night before heading out of town for a couple days.

We got a 3rd litter box today and grabbed the softest litter we could find because we think she might like the feel better. We just can’t seem to figure it out with her. If anyone here has had issues with a cat that just seems to prefer furniture over a litterbox, I’m all ears

no idea how to stop a cat from pissing, but i’d get one of these or something like it.

This looks like a life saver. Does the steam function help a lot? The version without steam is a good bit cheaper, but I hesitate to buy a crappier product if I’m going to have it for a long time.

okay

for most things it’ll just go slower. for the occasional spot job it’s probably no big deal, but i’d hate to, say, do a whole couch with cold water. and with steam you could remove gummy and waxy stuff that’s not going amywhere with just water, but that’s not cat piss, so :person_shrugging:.
