Callipygous or callipygian. (Wiktionary for illustration; NSFW)

My favorite Middle English phrase comes from Sir Orfeo: lef liif. Itā€™s a term of affection for a lover: ā€œdear lifeā€ or ā€œbeloved life,ā€ literally. I love how just a change in vowel can produce that phrase.

One of my favourite colours has a cool name: alizarin crimson. The plant it comes from, madder, is also a cool word.
