@Metroplex Tim has a lot going on but he seems to be doing pretty okay! He’s working like mad and figuring it all out but it feels like all three of us are getting to a place where we’re feeling more okay with where we are.
@yeso your name change is messing with the mental image I had of you which was Cesar Vallejo as a construction worker fixing a wall with some plaster, now I’m going to have to think of Cesar Vallejo controlling Alastair Cookie’s puppet while Alastair Cookie is fixing a wall with plaster
@Gaagaagiins Oh, wow, I had no awareness of the etymology of your name, thank you. I can also even further appreciate the authenticity of @Jaffe 's pronunciation.
Great episode! Right out of the gate, Jaffe’s enthusiastic ‘Now THIS is podcasting!’ killed me (and thematically fit with the breakneck pace)! Enjoyed having everyone back together to dig around the ol’ dirtbag.
Really dug the Jaguar music overlay too. Nicely done on the editing, Esper.
@safety_lite do you have a general timestamp on the jaguar music? I wanted to hear whether it got in there but there’s a lot of questions to sort through!
Regarding “The Last Dance,” I too was in awe of Michael Jordan‘s greatness back in the day but I find this tv show kinda bad taste in its minimization of Jordan’s teammates and dismissive portrayal of his opponents. It‘s one giant ego stroking for MJ that served many purposes effectively, such as making him more real to the young’uns and selling more sneakers.
